In celebration of my mental health, my weight loss, and all that, I scheduled a cheat day with a whole bunch of non-keto eats. It was delicious, I started off with All You Can Eat sushi with my sister (we’re the only sushi lovers in the family and she had been craving it for a while), then I basically ate whatever I wanted for the rest of the day.
First of all, I can’t eat as much as I used to when I was near 400 pounds, which was good to discover lol. Over a roughly 36 hour span I had: sushi, taco bell, chinese takeout, sour patch kids, and assorted candy. It was a mess but totally worth it.
It helps me to set my expectations before a cheat day, because the keto lifestyle is engrained in me now and it’s what works best for my body, so getting back on keto is easy. It’s especially easy considering I felt like shit the next day lol. My body was like, wtf are you doing bro? I’m still dealing with the consequences but I figured I would gain about 15 pounds immediately in water weight, I knew I would get headaches and general fatigue from the inflammation and such, and now I’m looking forward to my next cheat day, which won’t be for a while. Idk, maybe when I hit 275 or 265? TBD. Currently I’ve been thinking about those grocery store cakes and spicy pad thai from this local place, I think i’ll start compiling a list!
My mentals have been incredible, I’m really thankful for my friends and the people in my life who I can reach out to when I need to process things. They’re amazing people and I’m incredibly blessed to know them.
